In this paper, we will compare the communication carried out by four hamburger
brands in Spain: Burger King, McDonald's, Vicio and Goiko, focusing on their
success stories and looking at the differences and similarities that each of them have
in the way they convey their message to the public.
Covid-19 has been a turning point for brand communication. Organisations are
finding it increasingly difficult to create valuable links with their customers, given that
they have become much more critical and, furthermore, everything is communicated
through a screen, which makes it difficult for both parties to understand each other.
On the other hand, some of the campaigns that have been carried out by the four
brands over the last three years will be analysed, taking into account the media they
use, as well as the strategies employed by each of them and the message they
transmit to their target audience.
Finally, the hamburger has become a product in great demand by society and this is
reflected in social networks, where new brands in the sector are appearing all the
time. However, only those that differentiate themselves from their competitors and
manage to attract the attention of consumers in order to create long-term links are
recognised. [-]
