This text pretends to be an analysis of the state of affairs on neuroeducation,
as well as a critical review of the basic assumptions on which neuroeducation
as interdisicplinary science is based. To do this, through an argumentative
and critical methodology, it will suggest a dialogical direction in its work
with other related sciences to avoid neuroscientific reductionism. The main
hypothesis is that the brain is the primary organ involved in education, and
therefore we have to count on him when planning a quality methodology.
It will also be studied mind and brain together but not identifying them as
a single element.
The text is divided into several parts. First, it will point out the milestones
that led to the birth of neuroeducation. Second, different levels of relationship
between neuroscience and education will be adressed, emphasizing the
transdisciplinary level to address new problems raised by the teachinglearning
process with the help of the study of the brain. Third, it will be
studied the level of relationship between mind, brain and learning avoiding
reductionism or monism. Finally, the main advantages and disadvantages
that currently neuroeducation posses will be indicated. [-]
