La ciudad como aula: explorando el espacio urbano a través de la artografía: la deriva fotográfica y la pintura

Abstract

Este trabajo de fin de máster te invita a sumergirte en un viaje artístico y educativo a través de las rejas del entorno urbano, abordando las complejidades del espacio privado y público. En él confluyen la A/r/tografía, la Deriva artística por Castellón de la Plana y Palma de Mallorca, la fotografía y la abstracción pictórica para establecer un diálogo entre la estética y la comunidad. Por medio de la fotografía se busca desvelar el misterio de las estructuras urbanas, capturando la esencia de la ciudad y su interacción con sus habitantes. Se exploran las texturas y las capas de significado presentes en las ventanas y puertas, y se interpretan mediante la abstracción pictórica. Se propone una situación de aprendizaje donde el juego educativo, el cubo-puzzle, promueve la participación activa de los espectadores, convirtiéndolos en (co)creadores de la obra final capturando la esencia del entorno urbano contemporáneo, la ciudad. El cubo-puzzle se convierte en una herramienta interactiva que desafía a los participantes a descubrir nuevas perspectivas y a jugar con la percepción visual, invitándolos a interpretar y apreciar la belleza que a menudo pasa desapercibida. Se trabaja como referente artístico a Erin O’keefe, investigando su enfoque creativo y su manera de entender las formas, los colores, la luz y las perspectivas para transformar los espacios en interesantes composiciones abstractas.

In this Master’s Dissertation you will immerse yourself in an artistic and educational journey through the bars of the urban environment, addressing the complexities of private and public space. Here, the A/r/tography, the artistic drift through Castellón de la Plana and Palma de Mallorca, the photography and the pictorial abstraction converge to establish a dialogue between the aesthetics and the community. Through photograpy we aim to reveal the mistery of urban estructures, capturing the essence of the city and the interaction with its inhabitants. Textures and layers of meaning found in windows and doors are explored and interpreted through pictorial abstraction. A learning situation is proposed where an educational game, the cube-puzzle, promotes the active participation of the audience, turning them into (co)creators of the final work, capturing the essence of the contemporary urban environment, the city. The cube-puzzle becomes an interactive tool that challenges the participants to discover new perspectives and play with visual perception, inviting them to interpret and appreciate the beauty that often goes unnoticed. We use Erin O’keefe as our artistic referent,investigating her creative approach and her way of understanding shapes, colours, light and perspective to transform spaces in interesting abstract compositions.
