dc.description.abstract | Information and communication technologies offer numerous possibilities for the students to provide many different alternatives to learn. Nowadays, thanks to the increase in the use of new technologies, many applications have been created and are being incorporated in the classroom allowing teachers to innovate. Thus, the proper employment of these devices can lead to an enhancement of the educational outcomes. With this in mind, the main goal of this study is to conduct a general overview of the teaching methods which have been used throughout history in order to teach English as a foreign language to focus on the ones currently used. Therefore, this paper is going to be focused on the present approach of teaching English as a foreign language in which new technologies are considered a key part of the learning process. To do so, a selection of applications such as Socrative and Quizlet has been employed in the implementation of the didactic proposal. By making use of these applications, students will learn about the uses of will and be going to and will at the same time improve their writing skills. Lastly, this paper aims at proving that the use of new technologies in the English as a Foreign Language classroom can have a positive impact on the learners. | ca_CA |
