The aim of this study was to find out if the use of Information and Communication
Technologies (ICTs) and Cooperative Learning promoted students’ engagement inside
the English as a Foreign Language (EFL) classroom. To achieve this objective, two
groups of students of 4th year of Compulsory Secondary Education (CSE) were
selected for the study. There was a total of 28 participants. They were asked to fill in a
pre-questionnaire and post-questionnaire. The first one was given before starting with
the study and the later when it was already finished. The results suggested that
students preferred to use the ICTs to learn vocabulary and to work in collaborative
groups. [-]
