| ca_CA |
dc.description.abstract | I tend to be cautious when using the word ‘beauty’. I have learnt that its use must be prudent, since few works or objects, whether artistic or not, are able to bear the extraordinary semantic charge of the term. However, the first reaction I had when observing Mar Arza’s works, namely Nada era la herida [Nothing was the wound] and the series Asombros [Wonders], was precisely that I was before a number of sensitive elements framed perfectly within the sensations that the word beauty makes us feel. The quietness ―but also the rhythm―, the temperance, the elegant form, the peaceful tones… They all matched initially what the Western culture has traditionally deemed beautiful | |
