The Internet has become the world’s main tool to promote business
opportunities in a significant scale. Being present on the Internet is one of the
main marketing strategies as a means of succeeding in the business world. Web
Sites are crucial when deciding to attract the attention of new clients and are
the first contact customers have with a company. However, only having a
simple business Web Site is no longer sufficient. Web Sites must be dynamic,
easy to navigate and appealing at first sight. Developing an impressive Web
Site is compulsory in order to attract clients. Nonetheless, Web Sites are not
the single source of information available online anymore. The use of Social
Media has become vital with the purpose of marketing businesses. Combining
both Web Site design and Social Media is compulsory for enterprises whose
aim is to be present online, such as Transportes Franpama S.L. Therefore, this
thesis has two purposes. The former is to research the available literature and
determine what important elements are to be considered when designing Web
Sites and Social Media for companies. The latter is to simulate these
improvements through the Wix Web Site builder and Social Media platforms,
Instagram and Twitter, for Transportes Franpama S.L. To achieve the
aforementioned goals, various characteristics are selected from the review
literature and implemented. By simulating a new Web Site, a fresh and modern
image is given to the company and therefore the possibility of bettering the
original Web Site is demonstrated. Furthermore, the creation of the Twitter and
Instagram accounts from scratch reveal the possibility of constructive
interaction with prospective clients of the studied company. It can be
concluded that the two, Web Site design and Social Media, must be blended
together to ensure Transportes Franpama S.L.’s success in online business
settings and its visibility towards future clients. [-]
