Sexismo y estereotipos en el aula de Primaria

Abstract

La investigación que se presenta tiene como objetivo conocer las actitudes sexistas y los estereotipos de género en un curso concreto de tercero de Educación Primaria. Para poder llevarla a cabo, se ha utilizado una metodología que combina el análisis con la intervención dentro del aula. De esta manera, a través de la recogida de datos junto con su posterior interpretación de los resultados, podemos apreciar en qué tipo de aula nos encontramos. Además de analizar los resultados, se plantean varias actividades para fomentar la igualdad y comprobar que repercusión tienen en el alumnado. Actualmente, la igualdad entre ambos sexos es un aspecto fundamental para una buena convivencia social y, mediante la implantación de una correcta enseñanza, podemos conseguir que desde edades tempranas adopten valores de respeto e igualdad. Esta investigación responde a una demanda actual por parte de una sociedad que busca romper los estereotipos y actitudes sexistas impuestas desde años atrás.

The objective of the present study is to better understand the presence of sexism and gender stereotypes in a 3rd year primary school course. In order to carry out the research, a methodology that combination analysis and intervention aspects on a classroom, has been used. In this way, through data collection along with their subsequent interpretation of the results, it can be seen what type of classroom we are in. In addition to analysing the results, several activities have been raised to promote equality and see what impact they have on the students. Currently, equality between both sexes is a fundamental aspect of good social coexistence, and through the implementation of a well-balanced education, we can ensure that the students adopt values of respect and equality from an early age. This research has been carried out in response to a current demand from a society that seeks to break the stereotypes and sexist tendencies that have been present in society for many years.
