En este trabajo se pretende estudiar el bilingüismo (dos lenguas orales) en niños/as con
implante coclear. El objetivo de este estudio es comprobar si dicho bilingüismo en
personas impladas coclearmente es posible. Para ello se realizará una evaluación del
desarrollo del lenguaje infantil en los dos idiomas oficiales de la Comunidad Valenciana
(castellano-valenciano) de un niño de 5 años y 9 meses, con implante coclear bilateral
desde los 2 años y 10 meses de edad y que acude periódicamente a un centro de
atención temprana.
Esta evaluación se realizará a través del análisis de los resultados obtenidos en el test
ELI (Evaluación del Lenguaje Infantil) y de una prueba de memoria narrativa a través
de la lectura un cuento con imágenes. Entre los resultados encontrados se puede
destacar que se demuestra que el bilingüismo en niños/as con implante coclear es
posible, aunque se concluye y considera que dado el carácter de caso único de este
trabajo, los resultados no son generalizables y todavía no hay los suficientes estudios
realizados con metodología empírica y contraste de poblaciones como para afirmar
científicamente la conclusión anterior. [-]

In this paper we intend to study bilingualism (two oral languages) in children with
cochlear implants. The aim of this study is to verify if such bilingualism in children
with cochlear implants is possible. To carry the study, an evaluation of the children's
language development in the two official languages of the Valencian Community
(Spanish-Valencian) will be done with a child of 5 years and 9 months who has had a
bilateral cochlear implant since he was 2 years and 10 months old and goes to an early
care center periodically.
This evaluation will be done through the analysis of the results obtained in the ELI
(Evaluación del Lenguaje Infantil- Infant Language Assessment) test and a narrative
memory test through reading a story with images. Among the results found, it can be
pointed out that bilingualism in children with cochlear implants is possible, although it
is concluded that, given the unique character of this study, the results are not
generalizable and there are still not enough studies carried out with empirical
methodology and population contrast to confirm the previous conclusion scientifically. [-]
