This document shows the final result of the final grade project of Grade Design and
Game Development.
It is about how different structures of artificial intelligence models are developed. This
artificial intelligence models can utilize to implementations of a videogame
development. This development is an improvement of the artificial intelligences used
in the horror genre of videogames.
In this document, the Unreal Engine motor is studied, a planning is written and this
planning is followed to development the project.
Inside of the whole videogames world. This project will focus on the programming
skills, leaving others dimensions of the videogames apart. So any other aspects, like
artistic effects, graphical effects, sound, level design, will be considered out of the scope
of this project.
The functionality of this project is to create an informatic application. This application
will have three different level games. Each of this levels will show one of the artificial
intelligence development.
The objective of this project is showing how to do artificial intelligences works using
these three levels games.
To this aim, three different types of artificial intelligence will be considered. So these
different types of artificial intelligence will be developed in an evolutionary way,
through diverse NPCs (i.e. non player character), including a basic structure at the very
beginning and an ending with NPCs able to learn in autonomous way. [-]
