Libro de texto vs. estrategias para desarrollar la creatividad artística en la infancia

Abstract

En las siguientes páginas se estudia una experiencia llevada a cabo con alumnado de primero de Educación Primaria de edades comprendidas entre los 6 y 7 años. A lo largo de este proceso de investigación podremos observar como las características de las propuestas editoriales para desarrollar la Educación Artística y Visual no ofrecen los recursos adecuados ni para el profesorado ni para el alumnado. Con el fin de resaltar estas diferencias se han realizado dos trabajos distintos pero que comparten los mismos objetivos y contenidos. La metodología para abordar la investigación ha sido utilizar las actividades de la editorial en uno de los grupos y en el otro modificar las estrategias y los recursos según nuestro criterio. La investigación se ha desarrollado a partir de una observación directa del proceso con el fin de analizar los datos y extraer conclusiones desde la investigación acción. Entre los resultados obtenidos destacamos que un cambio de estrategia mejora las capacidades artísticas del alumnado y que los limites, inevitablemente perturban el desarrollo creativo natural en estas edades.

In these pages we will deeply study a test carried out with students of two groups of the first year of Primary Education, aged between 6 and 7. All along this process, we will observe that the resources offered by publishers for the development of Visual and Plastic Arts are not appropriate for teachers, neither are they for students. For that reason, two different projects have been developed but sharing the same objectives and contents. In order to deal with this research, we used two different methodologies: in one group, we based our teaching upon the publishers resources and, in the other group, we modified the strategies and resources according to our own criteria. This research has been carried out from a direct observation of the elaboration process with the purpose of analyzing the data and drawing conclusions from action research. Among the results obtained, we highlight that changing strategies improves students’ artistic skills and that boundaries unavoidably disturb the creative development typical of these ages.
