dc.description.abstractThe current minor role of authentic literature in EFL classrooms does not contribute to an improvement of EFL students’ language command. This master thesis examines the reasons for using literature in EFL contexts as well as its benefits. It also analyses the results obtained from a language and literature integrated teaching session implemented in an EFL Vocational Studies classroom. The results obtained evidence how literature can contribute to the acquisition of vocabulary and linguistic structures in students with a very poor command of the English Language and low motivation.ca_CA
