One of the most challenging aspects of SLA (Second Language Acquisition) is oral
communication, particularly for teenagers studying English in high school considering
teachers rarely cover the language's oral output.
In light of this, this paper offers a didactic suggestion to enhance students' oral
communication abilities in English as a foreign language taught in the classrooms, as well
as how game-based learning and communicative strategies might aid students in learning
the language and using it in authentic scenarios. The project has been carried out in terms
of formulaic and interpersonal competence, placing more emphasis on speech and
language creation. The proposal is divided into seven sessions, each of which has a
specific assignment and a theoretical justification. A motivational questionnaire, an
evaluation rubric, and peer assessments has been used to determine the effectiveness of
the approach, revealing a clear improvement in students' motivation and involvement in
language learning. [-]
