La relació entre l'escola i la comunitat a les zones rurals: el cas concret del CRA l'Ullastre

Abstract

La despoblació del medi rural s'ha convertit en un dels aspectes centrals de l'agenda pública a l'última dècada a Espanya (Andrés, 2022). Davant d’aquesta problemàtica, Harmon i Schafft (2009) afirmen que per tal de revitalitzar les zones rurals és primordial construir i mantenir forts vincles amb les escoles públiques locals. En aquest sentit, Bustos (2009) també afirma que l’escola contribueix a la fixació de població en espais amb pèrdua demogràfica, i, per tant, assenyala la necessitat que té l’escola d'obrir-se al context. Tenint en compte que a la Comunitat Valenciana el sistema rural comprèn un total de 143 municipis, aquest treball pretén analitzar quines relacions s’estableixen entre l’escola i la comunitat a les zones rurals, posant el focus de mira en el cas concret del CRA l’Ullastre, el qual està format pels aularis de la Salzadella, Tírig i Xert. Particularment, aquesta investigació aprofundeix sobre quin és el paper dels ajuntaments, les associacions, les famílies i l’equip directiu en aquesta missió, a l’igual que la seua opinió respecte a la importància de la relació existent entre escola i comunitat. Per tal de portar a terme la recollida de dades es realitza un qüestionari, els participants del qual són els i les docents que formen part del CRA l’Ullastre. Els resultats obtesos permeten conèixer el grau d’implicació dels diferents agents rurals i les estratègies utilitzades per afavorir la relació centre-context, propiciant l’extrapolació de les conclusions a altres zones rurals del territori nacional espanyol i obrint altres línies d’investigació.

The depopulation of the rural environment has become one of the central aspects of the public agenda in the last decade in Spain (Andrés, 2022). Given this problem, Harmon and Schafft (2009) state that in order to revitalize rural areas it is essential to build and maintain strong links with local public schools. In this sense, Bustos (2009) also states that the school contributes to the fixation of population in spaces with demographic loss, and therefore he points out the need for the school to open up to the context. Considering that in the Valencian Community the rural system comprises a total of 143 municipalities, this work aims to analyse which relationships are established between the school and the community in rural areas, focusing on the specific case of the CRA l'Ullastre, which is formed by the schools of la Salzadella, Tírig and Xert. In particular, this research delves into the role of the town councils, associations, families and the director in this mission, as well as their opinion regarding the importance of the existing relationship between school and community. In order to carry out the data collection, a questionnaire is carried out, the participants of which are the teachers who are part of the CRA l'Ullastre. The results obtained make it possible to know the degree of involvement of the different rural agents and the strategies used to favour the centre-context relationship, facilitating the extrapolation of the conclusions to other rural areas of the Spanish national territory and opening other lines of research.
