Fotografía callejera, autorretrato y perspectiva de género. Un proyecto de investigación para la asignatura Cultura Visual I de Bachillerato Artístico

Abstract

El presente proyecto versa sobre el trabajo final de Máster de Secundaria, FP, enseñanza de idiomas, artes plásticas y mú- sica, en la especialidad de plástica de la Universitat Jaume I de Castelló. En él se aplican metodologías de investigación artísticas, en concreto la A/R/Tografía, a partir de la fotografía para indagar sobre lo visual y dotar de significación a las imágenes. De esta manera, la imagen no representa únicamente lo que vemos, sino que son posibles diversas formas de creación e interpretación que van más allá del sentido visual. La invención de la fotografía supuso un hito en la historia y un modo de expresión cada vez más utilizado con las nuevas tecnologías y redes sociales. El estudio, reflexión y análisis de series fotográficas son la base de trabajo de este proyecto. La cuestión de género, la importancia de poner en valor la figura de la mujer artista y la situación sanitaria del Covid-19 que seguimos viviendo están en este documento claramente relacionados, resultando una creación artística que es en sí misma una metodología. La obra de la artista estadounidense Vivian Dorothea Maier, su técnica y estilo, su vida y el descubrimiento de su obra constituye un referente sin precedentes y es una inspiración para todas las mujeres que son capaces de encontrar la belleza en escenas cotidianas de entornos próximos.

This project deals with the final work of the Master’s Degree in Secondary, FP, language teaching, plastic arts and music, in the arts and crafts specialty of the Jaume I University of Castelló. In it, artistic research methodologies are applied, specifically A / R / Tography, from photography to investigate the visual and give meaning to the images. In this way, the image does not represent only what we see, but various forms of creation and interpretation are possible that go beyond the visual sense. The invention of photography was a milestone in history and a mode of expression increasingly used with new technologies and social networks. The study, reflection and analysis of photographic series are the work base of this project. The gender issue, the importance of valuing the figure of the female artist and the health situation of Covid-19 that we continue to live are clearly related in this document, resulting in an artistic creation that is itself a methodology. The work of the American artist Vivian Dorothea Maier, her technique and style, her life and the discovery of her work constitutes an unprecedented reference and is an inspiration for all women who are capable of finding beauty in everyday scenes in close surroundings.
