el Proyecto Spectrum o Frames of Mind: The Theory of Multiple Intelligences; David

This research work starts from the question of the teaching of Spanish as a Foreign
Language (ELE) can be learned in a more meaningful way from a methodology based on
the Multiple Intelligences of Howard Gardner. This methodology aims to promote
understanding of content, participatory teaching and teamwork. In such a way that it
proposes to work focusing on the students taking into account all their qualities to develop
them together with their abilities.
Thus, we are faced with a proposal made to try to improve the learning of Spanish
and try to change the traditional way of learning grammar, oral expression, reading,
written and auditory comprehension.
In this way, this work has started from a hypothesis and objectives based on
knowing the theory of Multiple Intelligences, how to apply it to the teaching of Spanish
as a Language Foreign, its possibilities and the design of a linguistic work for learning
Spanish as a Language Foreign. Next, the theoretical analysis of this work will be based
on various studies and authors such as Howard Gardner and his most significant works
such as the Spectrum Project or Frames of Mind: The Theory of Multiple Intelligences;
David Ausubel and his work on Meaningful Learning; Thomas Amstrong and his work
on Multiple Intelligences in the Classroom and Francisca Castro and their different
studies on the teaching of foreign languages, to have a solid foundation when it comes to
later exposing the methodological instruments and procedures to be carried out.
Based on all this, a Didactic Unit has been developed to put into practice, everything
exposed in the work, in a classroom for teaching Spanish as a foreign language. To finish,
some results and a conclusion have been obtained that have allowed us to glimpse that
the hypothesis proposed can be correct, giving rise to individualized and more meaningful
teaching [-]
