El Retrato. La Construcción Artística del Rostro Basada en los Retratos de Francis Bacon

Abstract

Plan estratégico dirigido a la asignatura de dibujo artístico para 1º de bachillerato en el que se trabaja desde las metodologías artísticas de enseñanza. El objetivo es diseñar una propuesta para aprender los contenidos y las competencias del currículum a través de la realización del retrato y autorretrato aplicando la interpretación creativa del color, la forma y la figura humana “a la manera de” Francis Bacon. Para ello, la propuesta se apoya en las obras que el artista ha pintado de un modo ejemplar dentro de su propio estilo. Aprender a construir retratos es una tarea compleja que va más allá de dominar una técnica y una tecnología dirigidas a la reproducción mimética. Emplear a Bacon como referente nos da pie a enfocar la imagen del rostro desde una perspectiva plástica que reta a la inventiva del alumnado y su percepción estética. La parte fundamental de este proceso de aprendizaje consiste en ser capaz de analizar e imaginar la manera de pintar de un artista para inevitablemente experimentar con sus propias habilidades y la gran cantidad de recursos que permite el dibujo y la pintura para configurar la imagen del rostro humano.

Strategic plan aimed at the subject of artistic drawing for 1st of high school in which we work from artistic methodologies of teaching. The objective is to design a proposal to learn the contents and competencies of the curriculum through the realization of portraiture and self-portrait applying the creative interpretation of colour, shape and human figure "in the manner of" Francis Bacon. To this end, the proposal is based on the works that the artist has painted in an exemplary way within his own style. Learning to build portraits is a complex task that goes beyond mastering a technique and technology aimed at mimetic reproduction. Employing Bacon as a reference gives us a way to focus the image of the face from a plastic perspective that challenges the inventiveness of the students and their aesthetic perception. The fundamental part of this learning process is being able to analyse and imagine an artist's painting to inevitably experiment with his own skills and the wealth of resources that drawing and painting allows to configure the image of the human face.
