Encarar la muerte Recursos expresivos y narrativos para el duelo infantil en el cine

Abstract

El presente trabajo final de grado plantea como objeto de estudio el modo de representación del duelo o la pérdida en los niños en la ficción audiovisual y pretende trazar una conversación entre tres géneros diferentes (el de animación, el fantástico y el de terror). Analizamos la figura del monstruo que tiene una función narrativa distinta a en cada uno de los films. Con ello, buscamos encontrar los diversos recursos de representación que se utilizan y compararlos. Siguiendo la metodología de un análisis textual para detectar esos motivos utilizados a través de cada uno de los tres géneros, tomaremos las películas ​Coco ​(​Lee Unkrich, 2017)​, Un monstruo viene a verme (Juan Antonio Bayona, 2016)​ ​y ​Babadook​ (​Jennifer Kent, 2014​).

The present final degree paper presents as an object of study the mode of representation on mourning or loss in children in audiovisual fiction. It aims to trace a conversation between the three different genres (animation, fantasy and horror). We analyze the figure of the monster that has a different narrative function than in each of the films. The aim is to find the different representational resources used and compare them. Following the methodology of a textual analysis to detect these motifs used through each of the three genres, we use the following films as a reference Coco ​(​Lee Unkrich, 2017)​, Un monstruo viene a verme ​(Juan Antonio Bayona, 2016) and ​Babadook (​Jennifer Kent, 2014​).
