Antonio Bayona, 2016) y Babadook (Jennifer Kent, 2014). [-]

The present final degree paper presents as an object of study the mode of
representation on mourning or loss in children in audiovisual fiction. It aims to
trace a conversation between the three different genres (animation, fantasy and
horror). We analyze the figure of the monster that has a different narrative
function than in each of the films. The aim is to find the different
representational resources used and compare them. Following the methodology
of a textual analysis to detect these motifs used through each of the three
genres, we use the following films as a reference Coco (Lee Unkrich, 2017), Un
monstruo viene a verme (Juan Antonio Bayona, 2016) and Babadook (Jennifer
Kent, 2014). [-]
