Boys and girls face to several social tasks everyday, such as how to decide what, who,
how long and how to play… An essential task is how to manage their achieves and
failures, their winnings and losts. The purpose of this work is to know how sixth grade
children value several answer strategies after losing in one game and which strategy is
the best one. So, knowing if there are some gender differences and if these results are
different after playing in an intervention programme (García Bacete y cols. 2014). This
study has been proved to 131 sixth primary students of four different schools in the
Valencian Community. For the analysis, a Solution Interview of Social Tasks (García
Bacete, 2014) To know the gender differences in the evaluation of strategies we use the
T prove of the SPSS statistical analysis and was used for the best strategy, the frequency
table and chi2 of the SPSS to. This study shows that in the Control Sample there weren’t
significant differences at the time of the most valuable strategy. On the other hand, in the
Experimental Sample a change on these assesments in the proper strategy is observed,
which, is valued more positively by girls than boys. Having a look to choose the best
strategy, both genders Control Sample and Experimental one choose the competent as the
best answer. In conclusion, we can say that sixth primary school children, both with or
without intervention, know how to use the competent answers as a strategy to a failure
social problem. [-]
