The present Master's Thesis is part of the University Master's Degree in
Compulsory Secondary Education and Baccalaureate, Vocational Training and
Language Teaching, taught by the Universitat Jaume I during the academic
year 2018-1019.
This TFM is entitled "New trends of teaching in Vocational Training: the Flipped
Classroom", and its content is about the Educational Improvement variant,
which consists of a research experience about my own practices during the
Practicum period of the Master, following the methodology of action research.
The main objectives of this work are: to analyze the perception that the students
have on whether the innovation to apply (the teaching strategy known as
Classroom in Reverse or Flipped Classroom) will improve the results that will be
obtained in the module they are studying; and also analyze the attitude of the
students themselves about the introduction of innovations in the class.
The performance has focused on the realization of a Flipped Classroom during
the teaching given in May 2019, in the Human Resources and Corporate Social
Responsibility module of the First Course of the Higher Degree Course in
Administration and Finance, which is taught in the IES Caminás de Castellón,
which I attended as a Teaching Assistant in the University Master's Degree in
Teacher of Compulsory Secondary Education and Baccalaureate, Vocational
Training and Language Teaching. The groups chosen for the study were 2, of
15 students each of them.
The observed results show that this technique, used in a group of adult students
(as it is the case), does not reach its objective since the students at the end of
the Didactic Unit do not report having perceived that their results can improve.
As conclusions we can add that this technique is not suitable for certain areas
of teaching and students, although it would be necessary to find out if this also
occurs in other levels of education. [-]
