The project has consisted in the design and implementation of a platform that allows the creation of visual novels in 3D without being a requirement to have experience in programming or scripting. This platform has been created with the aim of allowing users to create their own content. You can differentiate two different profiles to which it is directed. On the one hand is the Writer, who will be responsible for adapting the story to the appropriate format. You can access the project and edit it according to your objectives, benefiting from all the functionalities developed. On the other hand will be the Player, who will only have access to the executable created by the Writer. It will be the one who enjoys the final game.
As for the project management, it can be divided, according to the type of work, into three blocks. The first block encompasses all design and planning tasks. It has been worked on the design of the structure that should follow the tables referring to the story, the sketches of both the characters and the stage and the planning of what should be the Written Manual that will be provided to the user.
The second block covers the creation of the characters and the 3D world of the game, as well as the implementation of all technical aspects of this. The main character and the two secondary ones have been modeled, and they have also been animates and textured. At the same time we have worked on the programming of the chosen data structure, the movement of the main character and the secondary characters, the dialog system and the user interface.
The third block consists of all the tasks that have been complementary to the project. Three playtestings of the platform have been done to verify that all the elements work correctly and the stated objectives have been fulfilled. Besides, a new level has been developed to demonstrate that the platform can work with new scenes and characters. [-]
