La mujer maestra en el siglo XIX

Abstract

Este trabajo esta dividido en dos núcleos principales. Por una parte las mujeres maestras y por otra parte, las maestras dentro del libro Historia de una maestra de Josefina Aldecoa. La incorporación de la mujer a magisterio así como a la educación de la misma, ha sido un proceso largo que ha durado varios siglos. Las primeras clases recibidas por la mujer no iban más allá del aprendizaje de las labores y del catolicismo, posteriormente se les enseñaba a leer y en algunos casos a escribir. Bien es sabido que la mujer siempre ha estado relacionada con el ámbito de la primera infancia, carrera cursada en gran mayoría por mujeres. Así pues, para comprender la evolución de la mujer y comprender su presencia en magisterio es necesario echar un vistazo a los avances y retrasos en materia educativa que ha sufrido el país y la importancia o no que los grupos mayoritarios en el poder han querido darle a la educación en general y a la de la mujer, en particular. Para poder desarrollarlo nos centraremos en el libro Historia de una maestra, que es un relato en el que la protagonista, Gabriela, maestra, rememora con lucidez la historia de su vida. La novela está dividida en tres capítulos principales, cada uno de los capítulos representan también a una etapa de la vida de la protagonista: el comienzo de un sueño, el sueño y el final del sueño.

This work is divided into two main centers. On the one hand women teachers and on the other hand, teachers in the book History of a teacher Josefina Aldecoa. The incorporation of women to teaching and education of it, has been a long process that has lasted several centuries. The first classes received by the woman did not go beyond learning the work and Catholicism, later were taught to read and write in some cases.
