dc.description.abstractIn recent years the concept of business model has been gathering a great importance inside companies which have considered to reform their business model, but also in companies which have needed to remodel their business model to move forward correctly. It is a concept that can be settled in recently developed companies as in the already consolidated companies. In many cases these changes have become to a complete change in all the industry. This restructuration or reshaping should take into account how to create value for customers and stockholders in every moment, without assuming a loss of profits for the company. Thus, one of the reasons for the choice of this topic as a project has been its great importance and relevancy at the present time. Nowadays, the innovation in the business model is too important, especially in companies that want to keep their competitive advantage against their rivals. We must not forget that most of the time this concept comes or is accompanied by technological innovations. One example as new business model can be the Circ du Soleil event, which has changed the circus industry from something obsolete and mundane to something new that is always showing a new performance to its clients. Another example is the creation of Amazon and the change of the book distribution mode, which forced the industry to develop a new online business able to compete. The objective of this project can be divided in two parts: on the one hand, we have to achieve a clear definition about a business model as well as its elements, supported by the different references of important authors who have analysed the topic in the specific literature; on the other hand, we have to make a brief comparison of the evolution of the business models of two different companies that belong to the same industry.ca_CA
