Through the years, it has been observed that the usage of ICTs has gone through a

Through the years, it has been observed that the usage of ICTs has gone through a
considerable evolution. In this sense, ICTs should not only be used as entertainment,
but also as a new method to teach the new generations of English learners. As a result,
teachers should center on making students the active subjects and provide them the
tools to learn by themselves. By this means, this will develop their motivation about
learning a new language as well as their critical thinking. For this reason, the aim of
this paper is to demonstrate that the usage of ICTs in a classroom is an effective
technique when teaching contents and language. The project, therefore, will introduce
three concepts; ICT and Language Learning, Digital Competence and ESO
Curriculum. A description of a list of digital tools with a brief introduction to each one
is presented. The teaching proposal provided will include a selection of digital tools for
a 3 rd of ESO Curriculum. To conclude with, some final remarks and limitations will be
discussed. [-]
