Er,Yb-NaYF4 nanoparticles and PbS colloidal nanocrystals, in order to improve

The main objective of this project is to study the sensitization or coupling between
Er,Yb-NaYF4 nanoparticles and PbS colloidal nanocrystals, in order to improve
UC photoluminescence (PL). The election of the PbS colloids takes into account
a good matching of the PbS excitonic absorption and the position of the energy
levels from Yb3+ ions.
To accomplish this general objective, the following specific objectives were
defined:
1. Selection of PbS colloids size for the good matching with the UCNPs
absorption.
2. Synthesis of the QDs@UCNPs system.
3. Structural and optical characterization of the QDs@UCNPs system. [-]
