English is increasing rapidly as a medium of communication between different cultures due
to the use of the language by non-native speakers, who represent a huge part of the speakers of
such language. Despite the importance of English language in today's education, Spanish
students still have difficulties in practising the language. Thus, new methodologies and
approaches have been applied in educational contexts in order to foster multilingualism and
promote linguistic programmes. CLIL approach appears as an alternative for enhancing
language teaching and learning. The aim of this project is to provide a set of activities
following CLIL approach in Physical Education class. The proposal is focused on students of
fourth of ESO from a Spanish Secondary School who are acquiring English as a foreign
language since primary school. The main objective of the activities is to help students expand
their knowledge about Physical Education and improve their linguistic competences in the
target language. Students are expected to learn new concepts regarding physical activities and
develop their learning skills in English, which is the language used as a medium of instruction.
The teaching proposal is divided into four sessions in which five different activities are
implemented, either individually or in groups. [-]
