| ca_CA |
dc.description.abstract | Social networks have become the core of communication in advanced societies, leading to changes in the organization and functioning of the structures of the communicative system. These platforms have the capacity to offer an effective, instantaneous and direct communication, with feed-back opportunity, which generated that the political leaders saw in them a powerful tool of diffusion, reason why they impelled their communication through them. In the 2019 Spanish elections, social networks continued to play a role in the communication of political leaders, specifically Twitter, because of its concise publication capacity. Therefore, through each profile of the presidents of the political parties with the most seats, the use they give to Twitter will be known, as well as how they manage it, as well as the strategic functions of the content published in said social network. And finally, to observe the evolution of the use of Twitter based on previous studies and the present work, that is, whether there have been changes in political communication between the 2015 general elections and those held in 2019. Thus, the use that has been given to Twitter in the last elections is, mainly, as an informative tool on the diverse events that will celebrate the different political parties, through posters, moving away from the great opportunities that Twitter allows, as for example, a close communication or the capacity of feedback with the rest of users/citizens. | ca_CA |
