The principal aim of this work is to find short-term biomarkers related with the intake of
oranges in plasma samples from people who participated in an acute study. It was
carried out thanks to the collaboration between the Research Institute for Pesticides and
Water from University Jaume I and the Department of Preventive Medicine and Public
Health, Food Sciences, Toxicology and Legal Medicine from University of Valencia. For
this purpose, advanced analytical instrumentation based on ion mobility mass
spectrometry with UHPLC-QTOF-MS will be use due to the strong potential of this
technique in the metabolomics and nutrition field. [-]
