After 200hours of my internship in Jaime I Hotel lo
cated in Castellón de la
Plana, I could see how important it is the creation
of a new hotel for the city because
of an increasing tourism caused by the economic imp
rovement and the opening of
Castellón airport in 2015.
In order to find the degree of feasibility of the p
roject, there is the need to
create a marketing plan and do a market research. T
he market research will show if
Castellón represents an attractive market, if there
is a demonstrable rise on the
tourism and therefore, the number of overnight stay
s from past years until the present
time will be an important data.
In this project, with the intention of a better imp
lantation of a new hotel in
Castellón some points will be analysed. The details
about the competence in the hotel
industry in Castellón along with its prices, produc
ts and services will help to detect
opportunities for the new hotel. On the other hand,
the location will be studied: a
strategic point in the city is desired.
Finally, it is important to decide which distributi
on channels the new hotel
will take, which population segment to address, whi
ch desired position on customers’
minds to establish and how the brand is desired to
be recognised. For that, there is
the need to develop the marketing plan to implement
and check if the developed
prospects in the market plan are functioning. [-]
