Looking at the last year’s economic context and the demands generated by
several interest groups like workers, consumers, suppliers, institutions, and so on, we
have to think about what the current situation is in CSR (Corporate Social
Responsability) and what the commitment to them is from the companies. Is the CSR
built in Spanish companies nowadays? Or quite the opposite, is it still a long way to
go? Do every company show the same behaviour? This end of high grade work deals
with the answers of all this questions.
In particular, it is a case study in a company which fosters the development of
healthy practices from the HR (Human Resources) department. This company could
be considered as a healthy organisation making use of the Corporate Social
Responsibility (CSR) principles.
The CSR is like a boomerang which returns and fosters the reciprocity. It
becomes companies, workers and co-workers in a group, in healthy
organisations which strengthen the welfare and happiness at work. In addition,
they are turned into happy and emotionally intelligent organisations.
(Simarro, 2015).
The aim of this research work is to make public what the CSR is, its
development and conceptual approach, how it connects with the HR and which
advantages there are in the healthy and ethical behavior they have with their
business activity and which their direct relationships are with healthy organisations.
This study case is about a Valencian Company called Profiltek, S.A. This
company has a socially responsible behaviour. It sets their strategies, aims and
processes taking in the account the economic, social and environmental dimensions
of their actions. Furthermore, this company has integrated in its business policy,
heath promotion to get healthy, motivated, and competent workers in a healthy, safe,
and sustainable environment. In this way, we are going to analyse if these practises
achieve both, the criteria established by CSR and those by a healthy organisation.
To achieve the aim, several documents related to the subject matter have
been checked and the result has been organised in six parts:
The first one is an introduction about the interest that the institutional and Business
world have in the CSR. Next, it is done a short presentation about the cause, the
structure and the aim, of this end of high grade work.
The second part is about the CSR, its historical antecedents and its evolution. It is
going to be revised what it is and what it consists about. Which the relationship
between the CSR and the HR is, and finally it is going to be explained what a healthy
organisation is and which its rules are.
The third part is about the Study Cases.
The fourth one tells us the relationship between the CSR and a healthy organisation.
The fifth explain the CSR establishment in Profiltek, taking into consideration several
guidelines to know if it is or it is not a healthy organisation.
Finally, there are several conclusions and the bibliography that has been used to do
this work. In this part, there is too a homemade annex to support this research work.
To sum up, Profiltek company is taking firmly the first step into the CSR. So, it could
be affirmed that the CSR actions that have been accomplished, are due to the proper
management of Human Resources and the development of the employment thinking
about the improvements to their employers. The Profiltek aim is to be recognised like
a healthy company and like one company which generates employment and wealth in
our society. [-]
