In a recent paper, Sudheesh Kumar et al. analysed, from dif-
ferent points of view, the phenomenon of
cancellation
in simply
supported beams under constant moving loads
[1]
. This article
presented some novel facts about this phenomenon that are of
interest to scientists and engineers studying bridge dynamics as
well as to researchers in disciplines related to the moving load
problem. This paper provides corrected versions of certain results
in reference
[1]
. For the sake of clarity, it is also organised in the
same sections and subsections. [-]
