| ca_CA |
dc.description.abstract | Every day more and more workers have to do shift work and this, as has been seen in the literature on the subject, has serious repercussions on the physical and mental well-being of the worker. However, on many occasions, changing only some small aspects or characteristics of the shifts can greatly increase the well-being perceived by workers. We have found some variables that seem to act as mediators when manifesting alterations. In this study, we compare the well-being received by two types of shift workers: the so-called "fast shift-workers" and the "slow shift-workers". It was hypothesized that there would be differences in the well-being level depending on the type of shift. Fast shift-workers were expected to result in fewer disturbances and thus greater psychological well-being. To demonstrate these hypotheses, a double methodology was used: qualitative, with the interviewing of the workers, and quantitative through the administration of the Brief Psychological Well-Being Questionnaire of Ryff. Quantitative and qualitative results showed that, as initially hypothesized, there were significant differences between the two groups in the different dimensions of well-being, thus confirming the initial hypotheses. | ca_CA |
