We live in a world in which global communications take place every day. So, English teaching does not have to be limited to the study of its structure, but to the study of English in different situations for being able to communicate appropriately. (Díaz Merino, 2010).
Nowadays, English language lessons try to make the students learn English supplying different teaching methods. In this work, we can read about those teaching methods and the way they have adapted their principles to become the methods applied today. All these methods have the same objective: to help students to improve their level of English.
Furthermore, students need to improve not only in English subject, but also other subjects, such as Biology. So, in this work we will be dealing with the CLIL approach, which means, according to Marsh (2002):
“CLIL refers to situations where subjects, or parts of subjects, are taught through a foreign language with dual-focused aims, namely the learning of content, and the simultaneous learning of a foreign language”.
In this project, a proposal unit as a support to the Biology subject has been created to fulfill students’ learning needs. It consists in some theoretical explanations and activities created to make students able to express themselves while learning another subject. All these content is explained deeply in this work. [-]
