This study seeks to analyse the visibility given in advertising to the LGTBIQ+
collective through the analysis of the communicative message of 3 campaigns
launched by different entities for Pride 2022 in Spain. On the one hand, the
Campaign of the Government of Spain for the year 2022 and on the other hand,
making a territorial, political and ideological comparison between the Pride
campaign of the Valencia City Council and the Pride campaign of Barcelona,
both correspond to the year 2022.
As is properly known, in 1969 the first demonstration to vindicate the rights of
the LGTB collective began in the United States, 8 years later the first Pride
march in Spain began. (Villena Espinosa, 2020). This celebration - which is still
struggling and claims some essential and important rights - is currently one of
the most popular dates in our country. For this reason, this study aims to
analyse how advertising offers that visibility of the people who belong to this
group.
From the equality and inclusion framework, this TFG proposes to carry out a
comparative analysis of these messages to see how they are communicated,
which communities support them and which reject them, and finally, what
impact they have in our society. Is visibility being given through the accurate
message? Are we really communicating from equality and respect? Or is it
really about pinkwashing on the part of the identities? [-]
