Impedance spectroscopy has been intensively developed in the last years in the field of thermoelectric materials. Current impedance models collect in high detail all the processes that occur in thermoelectric devices. In this article, we briefly review the simplest equivalent circuits that appear in thermoelectric materials and devices, which only cover the basic phenomena in these systems. These ideal models were the basis for the further development of the method and it is the starting point to understand impedance results in thermoelectrics. [-]
