The following project consists in the development of an Individual Treatment Plan for a user of the AFENES association, who presents a severe mental illness, a mild intellectual disability and a physical disability. The user, who suffers depression due, to a large extent, to the psychological maltreatment she has suffered for 29 years from her family, and who presents a physical disability that restricts her and produces a great emotional discomfort in her, has been the focus of the process, and both the goals and the interventions have been established and agreed with her.
The Individual Treatment Plan has been developed according to the recovery model, the person-centered planning and the quality of life model from Schalock et al. (2010) principles, and it has been the latter and its quality of life dimensions the ones that have guided the assessment and intervention procedures. Therefore, the plan has focused on improving the emotional well-being, the material well-being and the interpersonal relationships of the user. [-]
