(DeCS) y Medical Subject Headings (MeSH).

Introduction: Due to the increase in the number of cases of pregnancy-associated breast
cancer, it is interesting to know if it is possible to use the usual treatments for breast cancer
during pregnancy.
Objective: To describe the different pharmacological and surgical treatments for pregnancyassociated breast cancer.
Methodology: An integrative review of the literature was carried out by searching for articles
in the databases of PubMed, BVS and The Cochrane Library Plus. Key terms from the Health
Sciences Descriptors and Medical Subject Headings were used.
Outcomes: 32 articles were included in the review. These were classified according to
database, type of study, geographic area, year of publication, treatment group and specific
objective treated.
Discussion: The indications, complications, and advantages of the use of surgery, radiotherapy,
chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and endocrine therapy, as well as breastfeeding after the use of
these treatments have been presented.
Conclusion: According to the existing literature, the use of surgery and chemotherapy during
pregnancy is recommended mainly from the second trimester onwards; however, the use of
radiotherapy, immunotherapy and endocrine therapy should be postponed until after delivery
to avoid complications. [-]
