Zschimmer & Schwarz (Z & S) is a multinational company founded in 1894 in Chemnitz
(Germany). It is dedicated to the manufacture of special chemical products, more
specifically aimed at the ceramics sector. It is present in more than seventy countries
and has more than 1,400 employees worldwide. In our country it has an office in VilaReal (Castellón). We are a company that is characterized, mainly, by the growth in
research and development that has taken place since its inception, as well as the
diversity offered in all its products.
Throughout the development of this strategic plan, we have analyzed everything related
to the organization in the Spanish delegation, both the environment and its competitors.
Starting with a brief description of the theorical framework to put the client in context,
followed by the business model and the analysis of the environment.
Consequently, and after studying these points, certain conclusions about the company’s
situation are obtained, which can be reflected and explained in the SWOT analysis. In
this analysis, we can see that the company is in a favorable position within the sector to
which its activity belongs, but that it has some strategic objectives for the future in order
to improve its current position.
Next, we will explain each of the plans that are considered most important for the study
of this plan, that is to say, we will carry out both the marketing plan, where we will be
able to see how the strategies that have been adopted are working, and the human
resources plan, which briefly details the internal functioning of the organization, as well
as the hierarchy used for the division of labor in the development of productive activities.
In addition, an operations plan will be developed, where we will be able to see all the
aspects related to the production processes of our chemical products, as well as an
investment and financing plan, that is, a brief analysis of the economic situation in which
we currently find ourselves.
Finally, and to finish with the plan, growth strategies will be created based on the
objectives that have been established, and then, the respective evaluation of the
strategies will be carried out. After analyzing the influence of these strategies,
conclusions will be drawn on the analysis of the company’s strategic plan. [-]
