This work is focused on the design and development of a new chemical probe derived

This work is focused on the design and development of a new chemical probe derived
from a new cysteine protease inhibitor. The three main parts of the inhibitor are a
warhead with an epoxyketone moiety, a linker with two leucines and an azidoacetyl
moiety which can be modified by adding a tag through a “click” reaction. Due to the
circumstances the experimental research has not been completed yet but most of the
steps of the synthesis were performed. However, from the experimental work
performed some valuable information and several conclusions can be extracted, even
though if the research had been finished much more valuable and reliable scientific
information would be obtained. [-]
