This work develops the importance of active methodologies from the initial stage of early childhood
education. But more specifically one: Learning-Service (LS). How this innovative approach can
take place at an early stage of regulated teaching. To do this, several meanings and examples of
what LS is and entails are detailed. It is highlighted at all times that in order for this type of project
to be carried out there must be a union between a need detected in society and content marked by
the curriculum. It also implements a number of methods that are linked to this way of
understanding learning. It also addresses the importance of training future teachers so that they
can bring about a change in education. To implement all this, a proposal for a complete
intervention for the second cycle of children is suggested. In this case the need detected is the
isolation that older people suffer from growing and how the school can intervene through art and
new technologies. This proposal is a clear example that from school it is possible to make
interventions in our environment without having to neglect the learnings marked by the curriculum
of the second cycle of children. All this is possible if we start to give importance to values, solidarity
and empathy. [-]
