After the creation of the kingdom of Jerusalem when the first crusade was finished
they understood that maintaining a christian kingdom wrapped with enemies would be
complicated and hard. Once the second crusade finished the muslims were regrouping and
preparing to finish with the limited military force of Jerusalem. The monarch Baldwin IV
kept united the kingdom in front of the incessant threat of Saladin who wanted to expel the
christians from the East. The death of the leper king and the battle of Hattin's horn marked
the end of cristian Jerusalem. Due this the europeans carried out the third crusade in an
attempt to try and retake the Holy City which they wouldn’t succeed. [-]
