Different methods have been developed throughout history with the aim of improving students’ learning of a foreign language. Lately, the use of games, both through gamification and Game-Based Learning, hasbecome prominent in the field of education. The present paper intends to research on the differences between the implementation of traditional learning methods and Game-Based Learningin terms of students’ acquisition of a specific grammar point (Passive Voice). So as to achieve this goal, two different activities are carried out: a drilling activity in the traditional learning groupand an Escape Roomin the Game-Based Learninggroup. Results on these two approaches are obtained throughone linguistic testwhich had to be carried out online,as well as the activities,as a consequence of the current context of lockdown due to COVID-19.
