The study analyses the correspondence between Romain Rolland and Manuel Gálvez, the Argentinian writer and translator in charge of rendering Clérambault into Spanish, considered Rolland’s "confession" after the Great War. The study delves into the relation between both men as it emerges from their letters and the later statements of Gálvez. It was, at times, a tense relation, even if Gálvez managed to translate the work, together with Roberto F. Giusti, and later on, in 1920, have it published by Pax in Buenos Aires. [-]
