(1926-2006) es un revulsivo para el compromiso
educativo. Primero, por su contribución a la memoria
histórica del magisterio en Cataluña y en el resto
España y por su hacer escuela pública desde la
defensa de lo comunitario. Pero sobre todo, por su
apuesta firme e irrenunciable en la formación del
profesorado como agente vital, crítico, cooperativo y
transformador. La pedagogía de Mata es dialéctica y
vivencial, abarca las dimensiones cultural, política y
educativa y construye caminos de posibilidad
inspirados en la utopía de la escuela activa, crítica y

Garriga (1926-2006) is a revulsion for educational

memory of the teaching profession in Catalonia and in

the defense of the community. But above all because
of its firm and inalienable commitment to teacher
education as a vital, critical, cooperative and
