As has been explained in the previous section, numerous therapeutic targets
related to the production of proteins such as c-Myc or membrane proteins like
PD-L1 and the interaction between them are currently being studied.
The aim of this work is to synthesize compounds whose anti-cancer activity is
not only capable of slowing the proliferation of tumour cells but also preventing
or reducing the interaction of PD-L1 with PD-1 in order to T-cells to recognise
malignant cells and cause their death.
For all these reasons, the main objectives can be described as:
• Synthesis and characterization of anti-cancer agents such as tetrazoles
and derivatives, which general structure is represented below in figure 9.
.
• Biological study of their antiproliferative activity in different cell lines such
as lung cancer and colon cancer.
• Biological study of the inhibition of the interaction of PD-L1 with PD-1
proteins and their corresponding expression.
• Biological study of their behaviour in co-cultures. [-]
