There are several objectives pursued by this research work, prominent among these have
been:
- Synthesis of nanoparticulate stoichiometric hydroxyapatite (HAP) (Ca10(PO4)6(OH)2
using a chemical wet method (coprecipitation).
- Study the best synthesis conditions to obtain single phase and homogeneous Zndoped hydroxyapatite, showing if the pH have an influence in the final products.
- Characterize by TGA, XRD and SEM all the samples prepared in order to confirm if
we have obtained the expected result.
- Carry out microbiological test with zinc-doped and undoped HAP. With the observed
results we will be able to confirm if the synthesized material is an inhibitor of the
growth of the fungus Botrytis Cinerea. [-]
