refrigerantes alternativos. [-]

The refrigeration industry is undergoing a major change due to multiple
regulations that limit the use of high-GWP refrigerants. The one that most
affects Europe is the European Regulation No. 517/2014, more commonly
known as F-Gas, which sets the GWP limit at 150 for the refrigerants used
in most refrigeration systems. For this reason, and since all refrigerants
currently used are above this limit, it is essential to study and search for
refrigerants that can replace those previously used. In this Master's Final
Project, the objective is to optimise an autonomous refrigeration system
originally designed to operate with R-404A (whose GWP is 3943 and the
commercialisation of equipment with this refrigerant will be prohibited from
1st of January of 2020) with the low GWP fluids R-454C, R-459B, R-457A
and R455A. To this end, experimental tests are carried out in accordance
with ISO 23953-2, where the aim is to optimise the refrigerant charge and
analyse energetically the data obtained. In addition, an environmental study
is carried out using the TEWI parameter, in which the advantages of using
alternative refrigerants are analysed from an environmental perspective. [-]
