| dc.description.abstract | The aim of this paper is to present a teaching guide as a result of the fieldwork within the community of Huacas and the application of the three phases (inspiration, ideation and implementation) of the human-centered design. The 'Club de Niñas Exitosas' is a program for girls to learn about gender equality, sexual education, and empowerment and is hosted by CEPIA (Culture, Education, and Psychology for Infants and Adolescents) a nationally accredited non-profit organization, located in Guanacaste, Costa Rica. By creating a step-bystep guide on how to create a safe space in line with the values of peace education, this smallscale project should support mentors and teachers working in non-formal educational programs of the NGO such as the Girls Club. | ca_CA |
