Teoría de la mente y Síndrome de Down. Diseño de un nuevo material didáctico: TRIVIMENT

Abstract

En el siguiente trabajo de final de grado de maestro/a en educación infantil, se estudiará la Teoría de la Mente y su relación con el Síndrome de Down. Para ello se tendrá como base una serie de artículos que tratan el tema y en los cuales se percibe la importancia de dicha relación. En ellos, diferentes investigadores exponen sus teorías sobre el tema y propuestas para trabajarlo. Cabe mencionar a Premack y Woodruff, ya que se les considera pioneros en la investigación de la TM y algunos otros que fueron modificando sus estudios e incorporando nuevas líneas de investigación relacionadas siempre con el tema principal. También se exponen en este trabajo, los orígenes del SD y como John Langdon Haydon Down acuñó este término tras largas investigaciones con diferentes pacientes. Además se exponen las características generales y cognitivas de los niños/as con SD que están ligadas a la TM , para terminar este apartado con la relación entre TM y SD. Como continuación de un trabajo previo, se propone, el diseño de un material didáctico inclusivo que podrá utilizarse para trabajar la TM en niños/as de 4-7 años, con o sin SD. El objetivo principal consiste en trabajar la adquisición y el desarrollo de la TM a través del juego, ya que de esta forma el niño se encontrará en un clima distendido que le permitirá sentirse seguro de sí mismo, permitiendo al maestro/a o psicólogo/a observar su capacidad a la hora de resolver las diferentes tareas de la TM. Para finalizar, en las conclusiones se describe brevemente el proceso de redacción de este trabajo, así como el diseño del material didáctico.

This is the final work for obtaining the child education teacher’s degree. It is based on the “Theory of Mind” and its relation to down syndrome. This work in sustained on a recompilation of articles about this topic in which it is perceived the importance of this relationship. In these works, different researchers expose their theories on the subject and proposals to work it. It is worth mentioning Premack and Woodruff as the pioneers in the investigation of TM, moreover many others have been considered because of their studies which incorporated new lines of research always related to the main topic. Also exposed in this work, the origins of the DS and how John Langdon Haydon Down coined this term after long investigations with different patients. In addition, the general and cognitive characteristics of children with DS that are linked to TM are exposed, to end this section with the relationship between TM and DS As a continuation of previous work, it is proposed, as a final degree project, the design of an inclusive teaching material that can be used to work the Theory of Mind in children from 4 to 7 years old, with or without DS. The main objective is to work on the acquisition and development of the Theory of Mind through the game since, in this way, the child will find himself in a relaxed atmosphere that will allow him to feel confident, allowing the teacher or psychologist to observe his capacity when solving the different tasks of the Theory of the Mind. This will make it easier for the teacher to evaluate the degree to which the development of the same is found in everyone. Finally, the conclusions describe briefly the process of writing this work, as well as the design of the teaching material.
